Rijnlands Lyceum Annual Report 2008 and Focus 2012

Following the Rijnlands Lyceum Annual Report for 2008 the different schools within the foundation are pleased to receive the foundation’s new strategic policy plan Focus 2012. Its foundation is a long-term roadmap with long-term goals, offering all schools within the foundation a clear framework within which they can develop and implement their own strategic policy.
These objectives are the reason why this strategic policy plan has initially been drafted by the executive director, principals and supervisory board. Although it is mainly targeted at principals, school management, the common participation council and the central service office, the plan will no doubt also serve as an important advisory document at school and individual staff level. It is an internal policy document but this does not mean of course that the reading of this document is not wholeheartedly recommended to all our external stakeholders.

Chess club news

Chess has started again, every Friday from 16.00 hours in the art room.   Secondary and Primary students are welcome. If there is enough interest, a separate class for Primary students will be considered on a day that would be more convenient to them. Questions about this and related issues such as youth chess competition in The Hague area can be sent to: boyfrank_gzg@yahoo.co.uk   Before the end of the year there will be an open ISH competition. First prize is a three course dinner for two, by courtesy of the Atlantic Hotel in Kijkduin.    There will also be a chess desk during the information market on October 6th.
